Message from the Chair
It's hard to believe that our show is just around the corner - we've only just recovered from last year's. True to form, it was a fantastic day full of high quality exhibits and family fun. The weather was kind to us and we were delighted to see lots of familiar faces as well as welcome a number of first time visitors and exhibitors.
To help ensure that this year's show is just as successful, the Committee is busy dusting down the gazebos, polishing the cups and preparing the bunting. While the horticultural categories remain the same this year, we have updated some of the floral art, craft and children's categories to try to ensure that there is something to appeal to everyone.
Please have a look at all the categories and get growing, making and baking so we have another bumper crop of entries in the marquee this year. Remember, there are prizes for first, second and third place in each category, a number of cups to be won, and a medal for every child who enters.
In the evening, the marquee will be transformed into a barn dancer's paradise, complete with hay bales and ale on tap. For the third year running, the excellent Ceilidh Collective will lead the dancing. Their repertoire ranges from jigs and reels to Balkan gypsy folk dances, and they are guaranteed to get even weary feet tapping. Click here for more information.
Along with the rest of the committee, I very much look forward to seeing you - and your exhibits - on September 7th. Now let's just keep our fingers crossed for sunshine again!
