Update July 1st 2020
In light of the ongoing Covid-19 situation we have made the sad and difficult decision to cancel this year's show, which was due to be held on Saturday 5th September.
District-wide events are currently cancelled until the end of August, and the Royal Horticultural Society has cancelled all events for the remainder of 2020. For the safety of all our exhibitors, visitors, stallholders and volunteers we therefore felt that this was the only appropriate course of action.
We believe this is only the second time in the Show's 123-year history that it has not taken place, and is all the more unfortunate because so many allotments and gardens are flourishing this year.
We would therefore like to share and celebrate the things that members have been growing and creating during lockdown, as well as your memories of shows of yesteryear.
You are invited to submit photos:
- from previous shows
- of vegetables, fruit or flowers that you have been growing
- of home produce or handicrafts you have made during lockdown.
Please ensure that they have a caption, and email them to us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will display as many as possible here on our website and on our Facebook page.
Next year's show is due to take place on Saturday 4th September 2021, so please put this date in your diary now so that we can ensure it is bigger and better than ever!
Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to seeing or hearing from you soon.
With all best wishes from the Show Committee
