The Banksian Medal (presented by the Royal Horticultural Society) is awarded to and becomes the property of the exhibitor winning the most money in the whole of the horticultural classes in the Show. Winners in the two preceding years are not eligible.

 

Perpetual Trophies

Avonside Cup (donated by the late Mr G F Deeley). To the exhibitor age 18 years or over on Show Day gaining most points in the Vegetable and Fruit classes.

Colonel Clark Rose Bowl (donated by the late Col. C W Clark). To the exhibitor with the best Floral Exhibit in the Show.

Hanby Cup (donated by William Hanby). To the exhibitor with an outstanding exhibit of Vegetables.

Heber-Percy Cup (donated by the late Mrs J R Heber-Percy). To the exhibitor gaining most points in the Show.

Heber-Percy Millennium Cup (donated by Michael Heber-Percy). To the Best Exhibit from all classes to a resident living within the village of Old Milverton, between the railway bridge and Rugby Road, and the streets leading directly off Old Milverton Lane and Old Milverton Road.

Higginson Cup (donated by the late Thomas Higginson). To the exhibitor gaining most points in the Home Produce Section.

Members Bowl (donated by the Show Society). To the exhibitor gaining most points in all classes for Flower Arranging.

Perkins Cup Awarded by the Show Society, entirely at the discretion of the Chairman, the Secretary and the Judge’s Steward on the day of the Annual Show, to the exhibitor whose entry is considered as most contributing in the greatest measure to the spirit of a traditional horticultural show.

Straughan Cup (donated by Mrs R Mcvain). To the exhibitor gaining most points in the Show and who is a resident living within the village of Old Milverton, between the railway bridge and Rugby Road, and the streets leading directly off Old Milverton Lane and Old Milverton Road.

Wade Cup (donated by the late Mrs Herbert Wade). To the exhibitor, exhibiting for the first time in the OMHSS Show, gaining most points in all classes.

Cranford Cup (donated by the late Mr and Mrs A O Hollick). To the exhibitor up to the age of 17 years gaining most points in Classes 56-66.

Hall Cup (donated by Mrs S D Hall). To the exhibitor age under 10 years on Show Day gaining most points in Classes 56-60.

Bericote Bowl (donated by the late Mrs E W Griffiths). To the exhibitor in age group 10-14 years on Show Day gaining most points in classes 61-66.

Mark Field Cup (donated by the late Mr Mark Field). To the exhibitor in age group 12-15 years on Show Day gaining most points in classes68-72.

Raban-Bisby Cup (donated by the late Eddie Raban-Bisby). To the exhibitor up to the age of 18 demonstrating the most enthusiasm and application across a range of classes. Awarded entirely at the discretion of the Chairman, the Secretary and the Judge’s Steward on the day.

 

Points awarded as follows:

First prize 3 points

Second prize 2 points

Third prize 1 point

 

In the event of a tie, the trophy will be awarded to the exhibitor with the greatest number of first prizes in the relevant classes. Perpetual Trophies are deemed to be held by winners for the following 12 months but must be returned at the holder’s expense to the possession of Joanne Browne, Old Milverton Cottage, Old Milverton, Leamington Spa, CV32 6SA (Telephone 01926 424367) by 1st July following the award.
